“It is what it is,” said Joshua. “He’s (Ngannou) is a great champion.”
Former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua put an emphatic end to Francis Ngannou’s second fight, knocking out the MMA star in round two.
The time was 2:38 into the second round.
“It is what it is,” said Joshua. “He’s (Ngannou) is a great champion.”
The fight began with a Joshua jab. The big men stared at each other. Ngannou connected with a right to the body.
Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) stepped in with a right that sent Ngannou to the canvas.
Ngannou got up and fought back - connecting with a left.
Joshua came out, jabbing in round two. He landed another hard right. Ngannou took it, but how many more?
Not many.
Seconds later, a huge right crumbled Ngannou for the second time. The big man, barely (debatable) beat the count. Joshua walked in and uncorked his right - which knocked Ngannou cold.
