Tyson Fury (29-0-1, 20 KO’s) scored UD 12 over previously unbeaten Otto Wallin (20-1, 13 KO’s) on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Fury battered 30:1 underdog Wallin down the stretch to win by scores of 116-112, 117-111, 118-110.

Fury was expected to have an easy night with little-known Wallin but a huge cut suffered by Fury early in the bout made it a much tougher night than expected. In the end, Fury stepped on the gas and punished a game and tough Wallin doing everything he could to keep the referee Tony Weeks from stopping the fight due to the huge cut over his right eye. Despite the cut, and a strong surge from Wallin in the last round to try and stop Tyson, Fury hung on for the UD win.

It will be interesting to see if this cut keeps effects Fury’s proposed February rematch with Deontay Wilder. That fight is a ways off but that cut was a doozy!
