Looking confident and ready to go, Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano weighed in under the lightweight level today.

Oddsmakers have installed Serrano, a slight favorite based on Taylor’s last two performances. Taylor, a former Olympic gold medalist from Bray, Ireland, resembled an older version of herself, a little slower and easier to hit. Reports surfaced that Taylor had sustained a calf injury in training.

Serrano, a Puerta Rico native, has no such issues, winning easily over Miriam Gutierrez.

If Taylor is Taylor, she’ll utilize her hand and foot speed. The combinations will be there.

Serrano has 30 scored knockouts in 42 victories. Power is her edge.

The championship rounds will likely tell the story. Serrano can be relentless, while Taylor has looked gassed lately. The thinking here is that she’ll be in top form tomorrow night.

She’ll have to be to win.

A pick-em fight.
