It looks like his next step, in giving back to the sport that changed his life, is building the next generation of champions.

He is an 8-division world champion in the ring, and he is now looking to dominate on the safe side of the ropes.
Manny Pacquiao needs no introduction to the world of boxing, and I do mean the world, as in global recognition.
Pacquiao recently announced the U.S. launch of his new boxing promotional company, “Manny Pacquiao Promotions”, (MPP), which was previously primarily based out of his native Philippines. Pacquiao, a 12-time world champion and International Boxing Hall of Famer, at 46, is without question in the twilight of his amazing run.
It appears that his next step, in giving back to the sport that changed his life, is to build the next generation of champions.
“It is an honor to bring Manny Pacquiao Promotions to the U.S.,” said Pacquiao. “Some of my most unforgettable moments happened inside American rings. Now, I want to help create those same moments for today’s fighters. Through talent-stacked events and an elite platform, we’ll showcase the rising stars and seasoned warriors ready to capture the world’s attention,” he said.
A familiar face that will play a major role in the U.S. branding of all things MPP is Sean Gibbons, Pacquiao’s longtime advisor, who will serve as President of Manny Pacquiao Promotions.
Gibbons is a highly respected industry veteran who has worked with more than 50 world champions.
Las Vegas-based Gibbons, who has a work ethic that would make coffee jittery, is excited to start the MPP brand in the U.S.
“MPP is committed to becoming the world’s leading boxing promotional company,” said Gibbons. “We’re creating a new standard in fight promotion, and it all starts now.”
Also, Brendan Gibbons (Sean’s son), has been named Lead Matchmaker. Gibbons is no stranger to the business, having grown up in a home based around boxing through father, Sean.
Brendan, who has a great eye for talent, has been running his own “Viva Promotions” for the last few years, developing contenders and champions.
Brendan will be behind the wheel for all upcoming MPP fight cards across the U.S. and internationally. Also, renowned Hollywood executive and entrepreneur Tony Cohen has joined MPP as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President.
A seasoned leader with success across entertainment, sports, and business, Cohen will be looking to expand MPP into new markets and media platforms.
“We’re building more than just a promotion,” said Cohen. “We’re building an empire. I’m proud to stand alongside Manny and Sean as we launch a global brand that puts fighters and fans first,” he said.
Boxing has experienced a decline in media platforms over the last few years, but it is always evolving and adapting to meet the market’s needs. And this is right in Cohen’s wheelhouse.
Cohen is behind the development of a new independent pay-per-view (PPV) platform and is negotiating with over 25 major casino and arena partners across the U.S., with a goal of bringing championship boxing to both coasts.
“We’ve only just launched in August 2025, and we already have two world title fights and an amazing fight scheduled for November, which Brendan has put together,” said Cohen. “And, we’re just getting started.”
The U.S. brand of MPP is moving fast and has a busy and ambitious agenda. They are signing rising stars and established champions, with a mission to build the most exciting, competitive, and globally recognized roster in combat sports.
“Manny is a legend in the ring, and we have no doubt that his U.S. MPP will be the leader in the development of champions, setting a new standard in fight promotion,” said (Sean)Gibbons.
