Lets do this: WBO orders title fight between champion Terence Crawford and top contender Shawn Porter

The WBO sent out matching orders to champion Terence Crawford and number one contender Shawn Porter that it’s time to fight. The two camps have 30 days to come together or a purse bill will be ordered.

The two good friends almost got it on last year until negotiations fell by the wayside.

Two division titleholder Crawford (37-0, 28 KOs) has made four defenses of his welterweight crown, the latest being a sudden 4^th round stoppage of former champion Kell Brook.

Porter (31-3, 17 KOs), holder of the welterweight title on two separate occasions, bounced back from a close loss to Errol Spence Jr. to defeat Sebastian Formella last August.

Gentlemen: Please be advised that the parties herein have thirty (30) days upon issuance of this notice to negotiate and reach an agreement for the above-referenced WBO Welterweight Championship Contest. If an accord is not reached within the timeframe stated herein, a purse bid will be ordered per the WBO Regulations of World Championship Contests. The minimum acceptable bid in the WBO Welterweight Division is $200,000.00 (Two Hundred Thousand Dollars). Any of the parties involved may request a purse bid procedure at any time during the negotiation process.
