Yeritsyan and Randall will be squaring off with the WBC Continental Americas (welterweight) title on the line.

If undefeated welterweight Gor Yeritsyan has his way, he’ll be contending for a major title before too long.

Los Angeles-based Yeritsyan (17-0, 14 KO’s) will be taking on Quinton Randall (13-1-1, 3 KO’s) of Houston, Texas at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, California, on Friday, February 23rd, on a Tom Loeffler “360 Promotions” card.

Yeritsyan and Randall will be squaring off with the WBC Continental Americas (welterweight) title on the line.

Yeritsyan is trained by legend Freddie Roach out of Roach’s Wild Card Boxing in Hollywood, California. Yeritsyan has some serious pop as his 14 stoppages in 17 fights indicate. However, he doesn’t go into fights looking to just land the eraser and prides himself on staying on point with his boxing skills in every fight.

Against Randall, he will need his boxing skills, along with his punching power, as Randall has only come up short one time in 14 fights. His lone defeat was against undefeated Brian Norman of Conyers, Georgia in his last fight.

Look for Yeritsyan to press the action against Randall and turn it into a slugfest. Why? With Randall only having 3 stoppages in 15 fights, boxing appears to be his game as opposed to a shoot-out. So, Yeritsyan should look to apply the heat and take Randall out of his (boxing-based) comfort zone.

Since returning in 2023, after leaving the ring in 2020, Yeritsyan has kept a busy pace with this being his 4th bout in 8 months. A win will move him to 18-0 and at some point, he is going to catch the attention of the top players in the welterweight division.

In pre-fight interviews, it was clear that Yeritsyan was excited to be contending for his first title.

“I am very excited because it’s my first main event on UFC Fight Pass and I’m fighting for a title,” said Yeritsyan. “It means a lot for me because I came a long way for this. Now I am doing really hard work with my coach, Freddie Roach, and the team. I must be 100 percent ready for this fight.”

Something tells me this title fight could be the start of a big year for Yeritsyan in 2024, a year that will lead to bigger titles down the line.
