Katie Taylor will make the first defense of her World Boxing Association (WBA) Lightweight Championship against Jessica McCaskill this Wednesday in London, and the week began with the official press conference, just two days before the fight.

The Irish, who recently conquered her belt, will make its first defense against an American warrior who intends to surprise everyone. Taylor has grown dramatically in recent months and the conquest of her WBA belt has put her in a place of honor in world boxing.

The champion spoke about the importance of her championship and the need to win to continue climbing positions. McCaskill, meanwhile, said she does not fear Taylor and that her list of rivals does not impress her, so she predicted a hard fight for Wednesday.

The weigh-in ceremony to hit the 135 pounds of the category will be held this Tuesday, and it will be their last step before entering the ring.

Taylor has a record of 7 wins, no losses and 4 knockouts, while her opponent has won 5 bouts, with 1 setback and 3 knockouts.
