After successful promotion in Oak Grove, KY and Memphis, TN to start the year, Tri-Star Boxing is returning to Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro, TN on April 16, 2022.

Tri-Star Boxing co-promoted a televised UFC Fight Pass card during our last visit to Embassy Suites in 2021, giving boxing fans a knockout evening featuring former world-title challenger Heather Hardy. The April 16, 2022 show promises a blockbuster night of boxing featuring a six-bout card including the best three-punch combo in town!

Murfreesboro’s own, Rydell “Super” Mayes Jr., will box in the main event in a cruiserweight bout scheduled for six-rounds. The southpaw puncher is eager to get back into the ring following his recent training camp with, WBC cruiserweight champion, Ilunga Makabu, who is on the short-list of potential opponents for Canelo Alvarez this year. Mayes Jr., 12-1 (11 KOs), has knocked out his last four opponents inside of two rounds and promises to thrill fans with his newly refined skills training with a world champion.

Also, Murfreesboro middleweight, Eric Draper will be in action this night. Draper, 18-10-1 (11 KOs), is fresh off a second round TKO at Oak Grove in January and eager to extend his ten-fight winning streak on April 16.

Draper, a veteran of our Armed Forces, has his eyes set on bigger game and knows he needs to win big at Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro. The “Juggernaut” won’t allow any opponent to stand in his way.

Murfreesboro’s veteran welterweight, Luis Galarza, 26-4 (17KOs), will box in a six-round contest as well. Galarza is coming off one of his career best performances in Oak Grove and seeks to keep his momentum rolling. A winner in his last six outings, Galarza has only been defeated by a pair of world title holders in Kell Brook and Austin Trout over the last decade. The Puerto Rican veteran known as “El Taino” is a crowd-pleaser who promises blood and high-volume punching.

Getting in on the action is the undefeated Ryan Shaw out of Nashville. The “Kid” is 4-0 (4 KOs) in his professional campaign as a flyweight, but has shown the willingness to move up or down to gain the experience needed to rise to contender status.

Rounding out the card are Lamar Brown and Miguel Gomez, who will both be making their professional debuts in Murfreesboro on April 16, 2022. Brown hails from Smyrna, TN and Gomez resides in Antioch, TN.

Don’t miss out on Tri-Star Boxing’s next promotion! The leather is sure to fly whenever this group of local boxers enters the ring. The six-bout card will be held at Embassy Suites at 1200 Conference Center BLVD in Murfreesboro, TN 37129. The action will begin at 6:00 PM on April 16, 2022. Doors open at 5:00 PM. Ticket information will be available soon.
