The WBA welterweight champions is set to return to the ring in four months.

"My plan is to get back into the ring this coming July,” Pacquiao told Filipino broadcaster ANC. “Second or third week in July. Training should start in April, May, June. We have enough time.”

Pacquiao, a multiple division world champion, hasn’t fought since whipping Keith Thurman last year. The iconic senator turned back the clock, flooring the much younger Thurman in the opening stanza.

Thurman rallied late, only to have Pacquiao hurt the than undefeated champion with a bodyshot. Pacquiao won the fight by split decision.

Pacquiao has worthwhile opponents in his sights.

“Errol Spence…and Garcia,” said Pacquiao.

Spence is still something of a mystery. After defeating Shawn Porter in an exciting 12 rounder last year, the 30-year-old from Texas survived a horrific car accident. He’s reportedly back in training, but hasn’t set an official date for a return to the ring.

Pacquiao has a plan if he ever steps in the ring with Spence.

“My assessment is Spence is the kind of boxer who can move, a slugger. If we’re going to fight, I need to focus on strategy, hand speed, footwork," Pacquiao said.

Former world champion Garcia was in the ring last weekend, winning a 12-round decision over Jessie Vargas. Garcia showed resilience and good counter punching. He looked sharp, flooring Vargas in round five.

“I would love to take on a fight with Manny Pacquiao,” Garcia said last week in an article posted on heavy.com.

Pacquiao summed up Garcia this way.

“Mikey Garcia is a brawler, aggressive,” said Pacquiao. “He’s got different techniques also, so we need to practice and apply on that fight.”

Pacquiao appears to match-up better with Garcia. Spence is the bigger man, but even at his advanced age, Pacquiao will have an edge in speed over both fighters.
