Gor is looking to score! First a world ranking and one day a world title shot.

Undefeated Gor Yeritsyan, originally from Yerevan, Armenia, and now living and training in Los Angeles, scored an impressive win Friday night at the Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez, California. The final tally was 99-91, 100-90, 100-90.

Yeritsyan (18-0, 14 KO’s) outworked Quinton “Quickdraw” Randall, (13-2-1, 3 KO’s) over 10 frames to pick up his latest win and remain undefeated.

Yeritsyan, a regular on promoter Tom Loeffler’s “360 Promotions” cards, is banking the wins, edging up the ratings ladder, and looking to one day achieve his dream of fighting for a world title.

Loeffler is keeping Yeritsyan busy as his Friday gig was his 4th fight in 8 months.

With the victory Friday night, Yeritsyan, with legendary trainer Freddie Roach in his corner, collected the World Boxing Council’s Continental Americas Welterweight title. While it is always nice to win any title, Yeritsyan hopes to one day wrap a world title around his waist.

While the KO numbers would suggest power is Yeritsyan go-to game, he prides himself on keeping on point with his boxing skills throughout a fight. And, that philosophy is a good one in facing experienced, tough pros like Randall who know how to move and frustrate opponents.

Randall came into the fight, having only lost a UD to undefeated Brian Norman in his previous outing. Friday, Yeritsyan worked both a technical and physical game. He was able to control Randall with both his boxing skills and aggressive bodywork to walk away with a comfortable points win.

After the fight, while happy with this win, it was clear he was already thinking about bigger goals.

“This is my first step,” said Yeritsyan. “Remember, my name. This was a good experience for me. I want to go forward and forward, I can’t stop”.
