Gassiev Edges Out Lebedev/Indongo Shocks Troyanovsky

Two world titles changed hands Saturday night at the MegaSport Arena in Moscow, Russia when Murat Gassiev, 24-0-(17) defeated Denis Lebedev, 29-3-(22),via 12 round split decision to claim the IBF cruiserweight title while Julius Indongo, 21-0-(11) shocked Eduard Troyanovsky, 25-1-(22), to claim the IBF junior welterweight crown.

 

The cruiserweight title scores were 116-112, 116-111 for Gassiev and 114-113 for Lebedev. The fight was for the IBF title only. Lebedev for some reason although he lost Lebedev retained the WBA title win or lose.

 

Southpaw Indongo knocked out Troyanovsky with a stunning straight left to the chin.
