Flanagan Out-Points Fana Over 12 Rounds

WBO lightweight champion Terry Flanagan, 31-0-(12) remained unbeaten at the Ice Arena Wales in Cardiff, Wales on Saturday night by scoring a 12 round points win over the 42-year-old former world champ Mzonke Fana, 38-10,-(16).

Flanagan, who was making the third defense of his title, decked Fana in the fourth and 12^th rounds. Flanagan was always in control but failed to fully work out Fana’s awkward boxing style. Flanagan suffered a bad cut on his right cheek.

The scores were 120-106 on all three judges cards.
