Dogboe Claims Vacant Interim Title In Accra
Isaac Dogboe, 18-0-(12),scored a fifth round stoppage win over Cesar “Corazon” Juarez, 25-6-(15), to claim the vacant WBO interim super bantamweight title at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra, Ghana on Saturday.
Dogboe, who booked a full world title fight against champion Jessie Magaleno, decked Juarez in round two, but recovered well to get back into the fight. But his success was only shortlived as Juarez was again dropped in round five and managed to rise to his feet but this time he was not in any condition to continue and the fight was stopped after 2.12.
In other action Abraham Tabul and Pat Ferguson battled to a 10 round draw in a bout for the vacant WBO Africa Cruiserweight title
