DDP promoter Paul Keegan has announced that they have bolstered their REVOLUTION event scheduled for April 7 in Brisbane Australia with WBO # 3 Super Welterweight Dennis Hogan vs WBO # 4 Jimmy ‘Kilrain’ Kelly as main event, to include WBO # 9 Light Heavy Damien ‘Super’ Hooper (13-1) against Renold ‘Dunghutti Destroyer’ Quinlan (12-2) as sub main event. The fight will be scheduled for 10 rounds as a defense of Hooper’s WBO International title.

With no love lost between the pair, this has been a highly anticipated showdown that the fans have been wanting for a long time said Keegan. Both have had accomplished careers with Quinlan gaining notoriety having KO’d IBO World Champion Daniel Geale in the second round, and going onto the UK

to defend it against Chris Eubank Jr taking him 10 rounds before being stopped.

Hooper, in his last outing defeated former IBO Champ Umar Salamov, who was undefeated in 19 outings on the undercard of the Jeff Horn Manny Pacquiao event in front of over 50,000 fans.

Hooper, who is the bigger of the two, will need to rely heavily on his world class boxing skills to avoid the bombs of Quinlan who some regard to be the hardest punching boxer in Australia. According to DDP matchmaker Stuart Duncan “this one has crowd pleaser written all over it, it is one of those fights where it is difficult to pick a winner. They will both come out hard and fast and it will be a war to the end while having the fans sitting on the edges of their seats”.

Paul Keegan stated that ticket sales have been solid, and at this rate will be sold out prior to the event. “We have a world class main event that will be every bit as exciting as the Hopper Quinlan local blockbuster, and some excellent fights supporting. It is a great mix showcasing some of the finest we have downunder including former Heavyweight World title contender in Alex Leapai who faced Wladimir Klitschko a couple of years ago.

Keegan added: “We have Australia’s best P4P female boxer Dee Dee Hobbs set to face Arlene Blencowe an accomplished MMA fighter (ranked 3 in the world) who herself won a world boxing title in just her second pro fight. “

The QLD State Heavyweight title will be battled out between Herman Ene Purcell, who is taking on Hunter Sam. Heavyweight prospect Joe Goodall will be making his pro debut while showcasing other local matchups with nine fights in total.
