Gedeon Promotions returned to a familiar venue on Saturday night with some familiar faces in both corners of the ring.

The LaSalle Theater, a regular mainstay for Promoter Allegra Gedeon and her husband Bryan’s roster of amateur and professional boxers, once again housed a Pro-Am show full of action, upsets, and the development of young pros looking to make a run at this.

In the six-round main event and fight of the night, Cleveland’s Jordan “The Shooter” Gruszewski (4-0, 3 KOs) defeated Lexington, Kentucky’s Vitaliy Lozovskiy (1-2-1) in a well-matched cruiserweight affair.

Gruszewski sported a 100% KO ratio coming into the fight.  He started strong, with plans of keeping the streak going.  The durable Ukrainian, Lozovsky, was not intimidated and hung in tough for the duration of the bout.  Gruszewski’s work rate, skill, and footwork cleared his path to victory.

All three judges scored the fight 60-54.

In the co-feature of the evening, popular Cleveland super middleweight Nick “Razor” Rezek (4-1, 2 KOs) took the first loss of his young career against Chicago’s upset-minded Kameron Powell (3-0).

Having upset local Christian Juresic in his most recent bout here at LaSalle, Powell boxed well on the outside and kept Rezek at bay.

Nick worked the body and looked to pressure his taller foe, but could not overcome the reach advantage and skill of Powell.

Two judges scored the fight 60-54 while one had it 58-56.

Credit to Rezek for stepping up early in his career and expect to see him back in the squared circle this coming April.

In a four-round female welterweight clash, Crashonna Wynn (1-1) of Cleveland, earned her first victory as a pro by scoring a second-round TKO over Kalamazoo, Michigan’s Shamiah Jones (0-3).

The fight began with back-and-forth action, with Wynn seemingly at the better end of the exchanges.

Her momentum continued in the second before the referee halted the contest.

In the opening bout of the evening, “Prince Hamzy” Hamza Abedrabo (5-1, 2 KOs) of Cleveland, defeated Joseph Thompson (5-6, 3 KOs) of Hindman, Kentucky in the third round of a scheduled eight at 168 lbs.

Thompson started fast, letting his hands go from the opening bell.  His activity level dropped soon after as he touched the canvas in the second.

Abedrabo scored another knockdown in the third, determined to finish the fight.

Thompson once again made it back to his feet but the referee stepped in and called it off as Prince Hamzy unleashed his continued onslaught of power punches.

Abedrabo gets back in the win column after a tough defeat in Pittsburgh a few months ago at the hands of Ivan Dancha.

Promoter Allegra Gedeon commented, "What a great night War on the Shore XVIII was!"

"The amateurs started the night off with non-stop action in all 10 bouts. That energy had the crowd excited, carriying the excitement into the pro portion."

"Hamza Abedrabo started off by playing to the crowd as he always does. Jordan Gruszewski finished the night by putting on his best performance to date vs his toughest opponent yet."

Gedeon Promotions will bring War on the Shore XIX back to the LaSalle Theater on April 12, 2025 with another Pro-Am event slated for the Cleveland boxing community.
