Gionta Management and Gedeon Boxing will partner up for the first time this coming Saturday, June 24th in Cleveland, Ohio at the historic LaSalle Theatre for a night of Pro-Am boxing dubbed, "War on the Shore IX."

Bryan Gedeon, of Gedeon Boxing, is a fixture in the Cleveland boxing scene.

Having promoted 8 amateur shows and training a number of amateur and professional boxers in the region over the years, Gedeon wanted to make the move into professional boxing on the promotional end to keep his fighters busy.

Derek Gionta, of Gionta Management, has promoted nine events in Pittsburgh, dating back to March 2020.

The two have worked together, matching fights on a number of events promoted by the WFC of Las Vegas when they made their stops in Pittsburgh and Cleveland casinos.

"We made some very good fights together over the years on those shows," said Gionta.

"Some of our fighters we train were matched up against one another and they were very competitive fights."

"I’m looking forward to working with Bryan and company.  All it took was one phone conversation and the deal was made."

This Saturday’s Summer showdown will feature five professional fights as well as seven amateur fights.

Gedeon is excited to start a series of shows in his home city of Cleveland.

"There is no consistent pro boxing in the city of Cleveland. Promoters come and go after they make a buck. War on the Shore is here to stay, and provide the up-and-coming fighters of the city of Cleveland a stage to showcase their talent."

Making his professional debut will be local light heavyweight Christian Juresic as he takes on Alaskan native Deven Paulsen (0-1) in a four-rounder.

The popular Croatian is a former Cleveland Golden Glove champion and is eager to showcase his talent in the pro ring.

"If you have a goal or dream, chase it head on because you never will know what will come of it if you never try!," stated Juresic.

A six round matchup of heavyweights between Cleveland’s Dajuan Calloway (6-2, 6 KOs) and Coal Mountain, West Virginia’s Alex Davis (3-2-1, 3 KOs) will be the co-feature of the evening.

Calloway, a giant man, is no stranger to stepping up his competition and looks to make his mark in a very challenging division.

"First off it’s an honor to be able to fight at home and showcase my skills!," said Calloway.

"Cleveland needs a good platform to give local talent a chance to perform and this promotion is doing that and come Saturday night I’ll be showing why I’m one of the most dangerous Heavyweights in todays time!"

Former Cleveland Golden Glove champion and National Golden Glove runner up Chavon Stillwell (2-0, 2 KOs) will step up in competition and weight as he faces Daniele Benedetto (3-1-1) of Virginia in a four rounder contracted above the 175 lb limit.

Davis, a slick southpaw, recently moved back to Cleveland, teaming up with Gedeon as his trainer has he looks the step on the gas in his young career.

He’s not shy about his goal of becoming a world champion.

"My goal In boxing is to become the super middle and light heavyweight boxing champion, I’m the best in boxing, I’m the new generation champion," said Stillwell.

A matchup of local lightweights between Shawn Rall (2-6, 2 KOs) of nearby Bedford, Ohio, and Robert Presley (3-3, 1 KO) of Newark, Ohio has all the makings of an exciting fight between two MMA crossovers that have taken on stiff competition since turning pro in the squared circle.

Deceiving records and a desire to get back on the winning track should make this a good scrap for the fans.

Opening the show will be a four round middleweight fight between North Carolina’s Dillon Schimmel as he makes his professional debut against West Virginia’s Zane Fry (0-2).

Tentative amateur lineup is as follows:
