Things should heat up in Atlanta at Underground Showdown 6

On March 26, live from Atlanta, Georgia, BFC - The Last Round Promotions, presents BuckHead Fight Club’s 6th episode of Underground Showdown.

It is heavyweight’s Siarhei Novikau against Shawn Miller in the main event that should bring some fireworks from the two big men fighting live on the WBC Network.

While Belarus-born, Florida-residing, Novikau (9-0, 9 KO’s) will be the favorite, he will get tested against Troy, New York’s 25 fight (18-6-1, 7 KO’s) veteran Miller who comes into the fight with lots of experience.

The popular series, live from the well-known Atlanta fight venue, also features several other homegrown fighters who are looking to showcase their talent for the local boxing faithful.

MaxBoxing caught up with the event’s producer, Terri Moss, to get her thoughts on what should be a great night of boxing.

“We are excited about this show”, she said. “It is going to be a great night of fights”.

With Georgia being the first state to open, post-pandemic, it was busy with 14 shows last year. This year is another busy year with the fight calendar filling up.

“We have more shows upcoming in April, May, we are looking at September, a corporate show in October”, said Moss. “We are also looking at doing a big show at the State Farm Arena, they are really anxious to do something with us”.

For this upcoming show there is some strong talent that is looking to impress.

“We have a really good card with a lot of really talented, young fighters”, said Moss. “We have Kenny Porter working with Mikhail Montgomery, from Macon, who is 3-0. Kenny also has Henry Cedeno, from the Dominican Republic, who is unbeaten at 4-0. We have former world champion Paul Williams bringing in a fighter. We just got off the phone with Mark and (Hall of Fame, heavyweight legend) Larry Holmes who have a fighter on the show. I think it is going to be a great show; we are excited”.

Fans always like the big men and the night’s main event shouldn’t disappoint.

“We have the big guys in the main event, and it should be a great fight. We have Siarhei Novikau against Shawn Miller, and this should be a good one. They have both fought on shows before with us and they are both exciting fighters. Novikau is undefeated but Miller is a good fighter, and he is very much live in this fight”, said Moss.

“We have (Ring magazine writer) Michael Montero coming back to do commentating and he is always great. Overall, I think it should be a great night of fights, we have some really good matchups; we are really excited and looking forward to this show”.
