Teddy and Teddy...
This past September, (2024), I wrote about an episode of “The Fight”, the popular podcast hosted by boxing legend Teddy Atlas. This show was going to include his son, Teddy (3rd), as co-host. The support gig opened when (then-regular) co-host Ken Rideout wasn’t available.
Well, with a new direction and some new plans for the show to kick off the new year, it looks like Teddy Atlas’ son is going to be joining the podcast regularly.
For fans of all things Atlas and the fight game, this is good news.
While his son hasn’t earned a living in boxing, he has certainly had a life in it. He has been around the sport his whole life. He grew up with it through his famous, Hall of Fame father.
While Teddy (3rd) hasn’t been directly involved in boxing, he certainly has been in professional sports at the highest level.
His successful career in the NFL, in scouting and various levels of player development, with the New York Jets, the Cleveland Browns, and most recently the Las Vegas Raiders, has allowed him to build a resume that is very impressive to say the least.
So, it is that keen eye for talent that he will bring to the table working alongside his father on the podcasts.
In his September assignment, the questions, assessments, and opinions brought by the younger Atlas certainly showed a young man who is no stranger to the fight game and is well-versed in what to look for once that bell rings.
Check out the father and son duo on upcoming episodes of “The Fight”. If his debut assignment in September is any indication of what he will bring to the show, fight fans are in for a fun ride.
