Fielding, Flanagan, and Murray win bouts
Seen almost a year ago getting demolished by Canelo Alvarez, former super middleweight champion Rocky Fielding returned to the ring in style Friday night, knocking out one Abdallah Paziwapazi in two rounds at Olympia in Liverpool, Eng.
Fielding (28-2, 16 KOs) won the first round with activity and accuracy. He did even better in round two, tattooing Paziwapazi.
Near the end of stanza, Fielding unleashed a combination that sent Paziwapazi (26-7-1, 23 KOs) to dreamland.
The time was 2:58 into round two.
Another former champion, Terry Flanagan, boxed his way to unanimous decision over Jayro Duran. Flanagan, who held the WBO lightweight title until 2018, floored Duran in round two.
Martin Murray wants one more shot a world title. The four-time title challenger, now 37, boxed and punched his way an eight-round decision over Sladjan Janjanin. Martin (39-5-1, 17 KOs) won every round on the judges scorecards.
