Photographer Chris Farina

Veteran photographer Chris Farina is now a legend.

Every picture tells a story, and nobody knows that more than Chris Farina. 

Farina is going to be inducted into the WBC Legends of Boxing Museum on June 22. 

The veteran photographer rose to prominence in the world of boxing as the official staff photographer for Top Rank Boxing for 27 years. 

In his almost 3-decade run with the Las Vegas-based promotional powerhouse, he shot some of boxing’s biggest stars. 

Chris likely inherited his love for boxing from his father, Joe Farina. The elder Farina had a lifelong love for the sport and had his own radio show in Las Vegas, “The Boxing Beat”. 

His outstanding photographs and ability to capture the perfect shot for fight fans have led to him garnering a reputation as one of the best in boxing during his time (almost) exclusively covering the sport. 

Besides boxing, Farina’s resume runs deep having shot for MLS Soccer, HBO, Showtime, ABC, NBC, CBS, ESPN, Fox Sports, Time Magazine, People, Newsweek, Forbes, Business Week, Sports Illustrated, Vanity Fair, Entertainment Weekly, USA Today, NY Times, Chicago Tribune, London Sunday Times, and numerous others.

After the announcement, Farina took to social media to express his gratitude. 

“Well, I am so excited, I am heading into the WBC Legends of Boxing Museum here in Los Angeles on June 22. I am going in with ‘Sugar’ Shane Mosley. Can you believe that? Me and the ‘Sugar’, we are going in. It’s my first ceremony, forever”, he said with a laugh. “But hopefully there are more ceremonies, more Hall of Fame’s; we’ll see. But this is great, great news. I am very humbled and excited”.
