Rising super lightweight Montana Love, fresh off a knockout victory over former champion Ivan Baranchyk, stopped Carlos Diaz in three. The athletic Love (17-0-1, 9 KOs) boxed in the first round, but in round two displayed some pop in his punches by flooring Diaz (29-2, 14 KOs) three times. Referee Raul Caiz Jr. appeared ready to stop the fight but gave Diaz a reprieve. Perhaps second-guessing himself, Caiz Jr. prematurely stopped the bout in the next heat.

“I was kind of surprised that they didn’t stop it after he went down three times (in round two),” said Love. “But we went in there and got him out of there.”

Undisputed welterweight champion Jessica McCaskill overpowered Kandi Wyatt in seven one-sided rounds. McCaskill (11-2, 3 KOs) attacked Wyatt (10-4, 3 KOs) seconds into the fight -unloading right hooks that couldn’t miss. Wyatt absorbed the blows and battled back in round two - though she was one step behind and continually clocked by the relentless McCaskill. Bleeding by round four, Wyatt kept fighting but couldn’t slow down McCaskill. The beating continued until the referee waved the fight off early in round seven.

“She (Wyatt) was throwing punches, just like I said she would,” said McCaskill after the beatdown.

Undefeated heavyweight Filip Hrgovic looked to have a bit of a challenge on his hands early on in his fight with Emir Amatovich. Amatovich had come to win and managed to catch the aggressive Hrgovic (14-0, 12 KOs) with right hands, but the moments were fleeting. Hrgovic stayed calm and fired back, flooring Amatovich (10-1, 7 KOs) twice in round two. Hrgovic quickly ended things in round three.

“From the opening bell, I knew he wasn’t on my level,” said Hrgovic. “It was a matter of time before he was going down. I took my time. I didn’t rush."

Impressive prospect Marc Castro wasted no time reminding Ronaldo Solis who the better fighter was. Castro (5-0, 5 KOs) floored Solis early in the fight finding his chin a very inviting target. Flashing fast hands, Castro pummeled Solis culminating his exhibition of young talent with a powerful right to the jaw. Solis (4-3-1, 3 KOs) slide down the ropes, his eyes glassy. The fight was over.
