One of boxing’s most exciting fighters, Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz will return to the ring for his 2nd bout of the year on August 3rd when he takes on Jose Valenzuela.

The bout is one of many on a stacked card headlined by P4P king Terence Crawford who takes on hard-hitting, undefeated Israil Madrimov in the main event.

The card also features former super middleweight champion David Morrell going after the WBA light heavyweight title, former world heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz, and undefeated prospects Andy Cruz, Jared Anderson, and Ziyad Almaayouf, among others.

Isaac Cruz, who sits at 26-2-1 (18 KO’s) has developed a passionate fan base built on a style that is must-see TV.

Cruz’s load and launch, all offense and aggression style, make for exciting bouts fans love. As a result, he is one of the most popular fighters working today.

Cruz has been perfect since losing in his first world title shot in 2021. Isaac took WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis, considered one of the very best in the game, the full 12 before losing a very close decision.

Since that bout he has beaten awkward, (then) undefeated Gio Cabrera and stopped former world champions Yuriorkis Gamboa and Eduardo Ramirez. In his last fight, he stopped Rolando Romero to capture the WBA world super lightweight title.

Jose Valenzuela comes into the bout at 13-2 with 9 KOs. While he doesn’t have the resume of Cruz, he has turned some heads with impressive performances against the likes of Chris Colbert and former world champion Francisco Vargas.

With names like Devin Haney, Teofimo Lopez, Jose Ramirez, and Ryan Garcia, in and around 140 pounds, there are some huge opportunities waiting for the winner.

In pre-fight pressers, it was clear that both fighters felt they are ready to walk out of the ring with the victory.

“Pitbull’s a hell of a fighter, he’s tough, but he’s not unbeatable”, said Valenzuela. “August 3rd I’m looking to upset the world. We have everything it takes to beat a guy like Pitbull Cruz”, he continued. “We’re sharpening up all my tools, my defense, my fundamentals, everything’s going to be there August 3rd.”

Cruz, while respecting what Valenzuela brings to the table, thinks he is tailor-made for him.

“It will be an entertaining fight because Rayo’s style is moving forward to fight. This style is very good for me, and I think that this will be entertaining,” he said. “I look forward to giving the fans a great victory and a great performance on August 3rd”.

Sean Gibbons, who guides the career of Cruz, added, “Pitbull is in great shape and is looking on putting on an unforgettable performance on this huge card”, he said. “There are a lot of great fighters and a lot of great matchups on this card, but Isaac is looking to steal the show”, he said. “Viva Pitbull”.
