he vastly growing "War on the Shore" Pro-Am boxing series will kick off 2025 on Saturday, January 18th in Cleveland, Ohio at the popular Midwest venue, The LaSalle Theatre.
Gedeon Promotions will feature some of their young professionals as well as a number of the region’s amateurs in what will be their 18th installment of this segment.
Having promoted several amateur shows, Bryan Gedeon (also a trainer) decided to host professional fights in the summer of 2023 in conjunction with his growing amateur boxing promotion.
His wife, Allegra Gedeon, who is now a licensed promoter, is excited and ready for an active year of boxing in the blue-collar town.
"This will be a great night of fights featuring 4 pro bouts and 8 amateur match ups," said Gedeon.
"I am truly excited to continue to bring the best and most consistent boxing show to Cleveland. Our shows give the amateurs an opportunity to continue to grow as boxers, and be able to perform as professionals."
Slated to fight on the professional card will be North Olmsted, Ohio’s Hamza Abedrabo (4-1, 1 KO) in an 8-round middleweight bout against Joseph Thompson (5-5, 3 KOs) of Kentucky.
Abedrabo looks to rebound from a competitive six-round decision loss to Ukrainian Ivan Dancha in Pittsburgh this past October.
Popular super middleweight Nick Rezek (4-0, 2 KOs) of Cleveland will put his undefeated record on the line against fellow undefeated Illinois native Kameron Powell (2-0) in a scheduled six-rounder.
Powell, a former Chicago Golden Glove champion, is coming off of a recent upset over local favorite Christian Juresic a few months ago at LaSalle and will look to play the spoiler role once again.
Cruiserweight Jordan Gruszewski (3-0, 3 KOs) will look to continue his knockout streak as he faces durable Ukrainian Vitaliy Lozovskiy (1-1-1) of Nicholasville, Kentucky.
The fight is scheduled for six rounds.
In the opening professional fight, two female junior welterweights will clash for their first win as a professional.
Crashonna Wynn (0-1) of nearby Euclid, Ohio takes on Kalamazoo, Michigan’s Shamiah Jones (0-2) in a 4-rounder.
Wynn lost by split decision in her professional debut a few months ago at this venue against Jocelyn Shade, a once-decorated amateur.
Eight amateur bouts will open the evening.
The most notable of the eight will be Brady Stone (Fight Factory) vs Maynor Balcemeda (Neal Boxing) at 132 lbs as well as Malik Morris (Fight Factory) vs Sam Miranda (CFB) at 176 lbs.
