Vasyl Lomachenko set to defend title against Anthony Crolla April 12

The team of Ukrainian boxer Vasyl Lomachenko, the current WBA Super Lightweight Champion), has reached an agreement with the representatives of Anthony Crolla to defend his title on April 12th in Los Angeles,California.

The team of Ukrainian boxer Vasyl Lomachenko, the current WBA Super Lightweight Champion), has reached an agreement with the representatives of Anthony Crolla to defend his title on April 12th in Los Angeles,California.

 

The agreement means a purse bid had been avoided.

 

Lomachenko won the WBA title on May 12th in 2018 when he beat Jorge Linares by technical knockout and subsequently made a defense against Puerto Rican native Jose Pedraza, whom he defeated by 12 round unanimous decision.

Crolla, the ex-WBA champ at the same weight is the mandatory challenger.

 

Lomachenko has a record of 12 wins, 1 loss, and 9 knockouts, while Crolla has 34 wins, 6 losses, 3 draws, and 13 knockouts.

 

In the next few days the teams will work out and out contracts.
