Hey, fans! Welcome to “Ask Gerry Cooney,” where you get to ask former heavyweight contender “Gentleman” Gerry Cooney any boxing-related question you’d like. Your questions for Gerry’s review will be featured at Maxboxing.com every week.

Each week, Gerry will answer as many of your questions as he can on the Sirius XM radio show “Friday Night at The Fights,” which Gerry co-hosts with Randy Commission.

The show airs every Friday on Sirius / XM Rush Zone Channel 93 from 6-8 p.m.

Our first question comes from Ralph Y. who asks:

Gerry, next week we get Manny Pacquiao / Timothy Bradley III. I know a lot of talk has been made regarding the two trainers, but my question is this. Based on their recent performances, who do you think is going to win and why?

Our next question comes from Timmy T. who asks:

Gerry, on April 9^th, we get to see two unbeaten heavyweights face each other, Charles Martin and Anthony Joshua. I think this is going to be a fabulous fight and I’m looking forward to some great Heavyweight action. Tell me, who do you like in this one Gerry?

And Gerry answered the following questions on last week’s show.

Our first question came from Tony T. who asked:

Gerry, Floyd Mayweather recently stated that Adrien Broner failed in his two biggest fights, which is true. Now he is going to fight someone named Ashley Theophane. So tell me, how does this help Broner regain elite status, or is he finished.

Gerry thinks that this is a must win fight for Broner and he feels that Broner needs to figure out what he wants to be. At times he’s all about boxing, at other times he wants to be a rapper and yet at other times, he just seems to look for trouble. So, Gerry feels Broner has to win decidedly to still be considered an elite fighter.

Our next question came from Richie G. who asked:

Gerry, Tomasz Adamek is going to be fighting John Molina. In my opinion, I think Molina is a tough competitor and will give Ademek a tough fight and may in fact, beat him. How do you see this one going?

Gerry thinks that Molina is a tough fighter, but he does not think that he will beat Adamek.
