Boxing and poker – maybe a start on something new?

Even though both sports are known for intense action and rough characters, boxing and poker aren’t usually combined. This didn’t stop Gus Hansen (known as one of the biggest full tilt poker names)and Danish poker pro Theo Jorgensen from duking it out. Both know as skilled poker players in both the online poker and live tournament circuit, did quite well as shown in the video.

Errol Spence Jr.: “The Truth” Coming to Light After a Successful 2013

By Gabriel Montoya: 2013 was a busy year for rising prospect Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr. He had as busy a first year as I can recall, turning pro in November of 2012, winning both his fights to close out that year. His activity didn’t relent in 2013, going 8-0 with six stoppage wins. The southpaw welterweight out of Desoto, Texas fought often because the majority of his opponents were blasted out early by the boxer-puncher’s mixed head and body attack, leaving him with little Errol Spence Jr.: “The Truth” Coming to Light After a Successful 2013

Adrien Broner Best Be “About Boxing”

By Jonathan Shrager: Whilst all professional sports are unforgiving at the elite level, it’s acutely true what they say: You “play” basketball; you “play” baseball; heck, you even “play” rugby. You don’t play at boxing. Add Señor Adrien Broner to the sizeable catalogue of fighters who recently discovered this fact in the least forgiving arena of all: the squared circle. There’s an old proverb which states, “Be there or be square.” Well, where beautiful brutality is concerned, you’d better “be Adrien Broner Best Be “About Boxing”

2014 Boxing Resolutions

By Steve Kim: It never fails; does it? The first month or so into the New Year, you see people you’ve never seen working out at the gym. They are the ones who make New Year’s resolutions to start working out and get back into shape and as soon as January 2nd rolls around, they become Jack Lalanne all of a sudden. Looking ahead to boxing's needed changes in 2014

By Gabriel Montoya: The holidays are done. 2013 is in the books. And a fresh docket of fights is being put on the books. New Year’s is about starting over fresh. Personally, I’m not a New Year’s guy, measuring my yearly progress by my birthday. But everyone else on the planet takes this time to access the year that just was and make resolutions that will hopefully make for an even better year to come. 1.
