Hometown welterweight star Jaron “Boots” Ennis pitched a six-round shutout over James Winchester in the main event at the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia last Friday night.
Ennis was the much busier fighter and out boxed Winchester for all 6 rounds. Winchester was able to land a few bombs during the bout, but none had any effect on Ennis. Ennis remains undefeated and is now 10-0.
All three judges scored the fight 60-53 in favor of Ennis.
Undefeated hometown hero and police officer, Manny “Major Pain” Folly maintained his perfect record with a first-round TKO over Luis Hinijosa.
Folly got right to work and dominated the short bout. Folly’s speed was blinding and his power was incredible. Hinijosa tried to fight back but had no answers. Official Eric Dali called a stop to the fight, just 2:18 into the first round. Folly’s record improves to an impressive 10-0.
