Yuriorkis Gamboa Breezes Past Miguel Beltran, Jr. In Miami

Former multi weight world champion Yuriorkis “El Ciclon De Guantánamo” Gamboa, 29–2-(17),from Cuba, scored a 10 round unanimous decision win Miguel “Barreterito” Beltran, Jr. ,33-7-(22), at the Miami-Dade County Fair Expo Center in Miami, Florida on Saturday.

Gamboa decked Beltran heavily in the opening round and the fight looked over but somehow Beltran survived and pushed Gamboa to the end. The scores were 99-90, 98-91 and 100-89.

On the same card former three-time world champion Juan “Juanma” Lopez, 36-6-(32), scored a mostly clear and unanimous 10 round decision win over Cristian “Piedrita” Mino, 19-3-(12). Juanma decked Mino twice in round three. Mino hit the deck again in the fourth round. Mino did wobble Juanma in round five but was down again from a body shot in round six. Mino was deducted a point in the 10^th round but it made little difference . The scores were 97-88 and  96-89 twice.

In other action super bantamweight Jorge De Jesus Romero out-pointed Jason Vera over all three judges scored the bout 80-72

At welterweight Harold Calderon scored a seventh round knockout over Emiliano Martin Garcia  Calderon decked Garcia in round two and twice more in the seventh round before the fight was stopped after 1:11.
