Weights From Tacoma

TACOMA, Wash. – Super middleweights Mike Gavronski and Thomas Awinbono both made weight for Saturday’s Battle at the Boat 108 main event at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Wash.

Gavronski (21-2-1, 14 KOs) came in at a ready 167.5 pounds, while Awimbono (25-4-1, 21 KOs) tipped the scale at 166.5 pounds.

Gavronski is coming off a victory over previously undefeated Jake Carr. Awimbono, a native of Ghana who will be making his United States debut in the fight, has won 18 consecutive fights, last losing nearly seven years ago.

The main event is scheduled for 10 rounds.

In the semi-main event, Andres Reyes (5-1-1) weighed 140 pounds and Marco Cardenas (5-5-1) will fight at 139.5.

The six-bout card will also feature a 149-pound contest between Tacoma’s Andre Keys (2-1) and Nate Serrano (4-4-2), a 153-pound bout between Zach Cooper (4-2-2) and Tony Neal (4-6) and undefeated Giovanni Mioletti (3-0) taking on fellow 138-pounder Niko McFarland.
