Former WBC super flyweight champion Carlos Cuadras has been temporarily suspended by the World Boxing Council.
The WBC has received information that Cuadras allegedly used a recreational drug. In light of the WBC’s Clean Boxing Program, WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said in a statement: “Cuadras is suspended for the use of banned substances from the World Boxing Council and there is an investigation”.
A hearing is set for April 25 in Mexico. To be clear Cuadras has not failed a drug test before or after a fight and Cuadras has not failed a voluntary test carried out by the WBC’s Clean Up Boxing Program
