Vincent Out-Points Lee In Lincoln

On Friday, Vincent came back with an eight-round unanimous decision over Marquita Lee of Novato, Calif. in a junior lightweight bout at the Twin River Events Center.

 

Ken Ezzo scored it 80-73. Glen Feldman scored it 77-75 and Don Trella scored it 79-73.

 

Vincent, of nearby Providence, R.I., is now 19-1 (1 KO); Lee dropped to 3-3.

Vincent lost a majority decision to Heather Hardy on Aug. 21.

 

There were no knockdowns. Vincent landed two solid left hooks, forcing Lee to take a step back each time. Just before the end of the fight, she landed another left hook.

Lee landed her best shot in the seventh, a right hand that briefly got Vincent’s attention.

 

Toka Kahn Clary of Providence, R.I. recovered from his first pro loss with a second-round knockout of Mario Macias of Mexico City in a scheduled eight-round junior lightweight contest.

 

Kahn Clary dropped Macias twice in the second round before Danny Schiavone stopped the fight at 1:42. He dropped him with a right hook early in the round. The final blow was a left uppercut.

 

Kahn Clary improved to 20-1 (14); Macias dropped to 28-21 (14).

 

Kahn Clary was knocked out in the first round on Sept. 23 when he faced Jhon Gemino.

 

“I had a minor setback,” he said. “I’m back on the horse. I hope to be fighting for a belt very soon.”

 

Anthony Marsella, Jr. of Provience, R.I. stopped Devante Seay of Martinsville, Va. In the first round of a scheduled four at junior welterweight. Marsella (3-0, 2 KOs) landed a series of left hooks on Seay, who went down after the fourth left hook. Referee Joey Lupino stopped the fight as soon as the bell sounded to end the round. Seay dropped to 0-2-1.

 

Middleweights Kendrick Ball, Jr. of Worcester, Mass. and Nathan Millier of New Brunswick, Cananda fought to a six-round majority draw. Ken Ezzo and Glen Feldman scored it 57-57 and Clark Sammartino scored it 58-56 for Millier (9-0-2, 7 KO s); Ball is now 4-0-2 (3).

 

Ray Oliveira, Jr. of New Bedford, Mass. won a six-round unanimous decision against Matt Probin of Lewiston, Maine at junior middleweight. Ken Ezzo scored it 59-55. Glen Feldman and Don Trella scored it 60-54 for oliveira, now 6-0 (1); Probin dropped to 2-2.

 

Cristobal Marrero of Worcester, Mass. outpointed Isaiah Robinson of Durham, N.C. in a four-round welterweight about. All three judges scored it 40-36 Marrero improved to 3-0 (2); Robinson dropped to 3-5 (2).

 

In a battle of debuting junior welterweights, Khiry Todd of Lynn, Mass. stopped Patrick Leal of Somerville, Mass. in the first round of a scheduled four. Todd dropped Leal with a left hook. After Leal got up, referee Joey Lupino stopped the fight at 42 seconds.

 

In a four-round junior welterweight bout Anthony Laureano of East Hartford, Conn. and Lamont White of Washington, D.C. left the ring with a no decision after White sustained a cut from an accidental head butt in the second round. Laureano is now 1-0 (1 NC); White is 0-5 (1 NC).
