Valdez Takes Out Rueda In Style

Featherweight world title contender Oscar Valdez, 21-0-(18), took just two rounds to take out the previously unbeaten Matias “La Cobrita” Rueda, 26-1-(23,) to claim the vacant WBO featherweight title at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday..

 

Valdez wobbled Rueda in the opening round before dropping him twice, both times from body shots. The time of the tko was 2:18.
