In just two bouts at the UIC Pavilion, Chicago fan favorite Donovan George has quickly won over local sport fans with his devastating power and brutal knockouts. On January 29th, the 25 year old George sporting a record of 19-0-1 with seventeen knockouts, stopped Phil Williams in the third round. On November 6, 2009, George brutally knocked out Jason Naugler in the fourth round.

On April 30th, George will battle highly regarded Ghanaian veteran Osumanu Adams, 17-1-0 (13KO’s) in a scheduled eight round bout. The African Champion has won four in a row, all by knockout. He will be making his second appearance in the United States .

Also featured at THE NEXT GENERATION OF SUPERMIDDLEWEIGHTS is 24 year old Edwin “LA BOMBA” Rodriguez. A native of the Dominican Republic, Rodriguez brings a record of 14-0-0 with ten knockouts into the eight round battle with St. Louis based veteran Kevin Engel, 17-2-0 (14KO’s).

Rodriguez is coming off a crushing first round EPSN2 televised knockout of George Armenta on March 19th.

Engel is among the most popular fighters in St. Louis, having become a staple in area shows over his four year career. He stopped Tyler Seever and David Robinson in the second half of 2009 prior to facing Julius Fogle on August 22nd, a bout which was declared a no-contest due to an accidental headbutt.

Rounding out THE NEXT GENERATION OF SUPERMIDDLEWEIGHTS is a ten round bout between Houston’s Marcus “TOO MUCH” Johnson and Derek “THE BLACK LION” Edwards.

The 24 year old Johnson has amassed a record of 18-0-0 with fourteen knockouts over his five year career. Fighting twice in 2009, the Louisville born prospect stopped Matt Gockel in the first round on August 22nd and won an eight round decision over Victor Villareal on October 2nd.
