The Barbershop – April 15th, 2016

By Allan Scotto

Welcome to this week’s edition of “The Barbershop,” a column designed to give you a forum to speak your mind about our question(s) of the week or any boxing-related issue you would like to comment on. We welcome and appreciate your participation, so take a minute; scroll down and leave your comment below.

Now on to today’s question(s):

This Saturday Chris Algieri goes up against Errol Spence Jr.  Lots of talk has been made about Spence’s power and Algieri’s lack of it.  Many people feel that it will be very difficult for Algieri to keep Spence off of him if he can’t hurt him,   while many people point to Algieri’s hand speed and the way he recovered from two knock downs in his fight against Providnikov and went on to win.  So, at the end of the day, it’s kind of a pick ‘em fight.  So, who do you like and why?

You pay the bills fans, so what do YOU think?

And don’t forget to join the fun on Friday nights as I join Randy Gordon and Gerry Cooney on their “Friday Night at the Fights” satellite radio show on Sirius/XM Rush Zone Channel 93.

We’ll discuss the “Barbershop” question of the week and anything boxing-related you’d like to share or talk about.

The show runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., ET, and you can call in and let us know what you think by dialing 1-866-522-2846.

We look forward to hearing from you!
