SHAWN PORTER:

“FIGHT A REAL MEXICAN WARRIOR”

JOSE GONZALEZ READY TO FIGHT ANYTIME!!!!

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI (March 10, 2010) Jose “EL CUERVO” Gonzalez has accepted the fight against undefeated prospect Shawn “SHOWTIME” Porter, but it appears the highly regarded Cleveland based junior middleweight is having second thoughts.

Said Steve Smith of St. Louis based Rumble Time Promotions. “I got a call this week from Prize Fight Boxing, Porter’s promoter, to have Jose fight Shawn Porter in the very near future. Jose has been in some terrific, all-action fights and is coming off a real war with Carson Jones that he lost last October.”

“The bottom line is Jose would be the toughest guy that Porter has fought and after we accepted the fight we hear that Porter won’t fight us. It sounds like he’s more suspect than prospect. I don’t see a Mexican warrior on his record and it sounds like we won’t see one anytime soon.”

Continued Smith, “All this talk about him being the next champion out of Ohio, training with Manny Pacquiao and the great amateur career. He’s 13-0, time to find out what he’s really made of, is he a prospect or a suspect. Come fight Jose Gonzalez and prove yourself.”

The heavy handed Gonzalez, 13-6-1 (11KO’s) has been in two wars with Carson Jones, battled Ronald Hearns and holds a draw against then undefeated Jason LeHoullier. His bout with Hearns was broadcast on ShoBox while ESPN2 broadcast his first ten round war with Jones and his battle with LeHoullier.
