Reymart Gaballo, 19-0-(16), was crowned WBA Interim bantamweight champion at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, out-pointing the previously undefeated Stephen Young,17-1-3-(7), over 12 rounds on Friday.
Young, who was decked in round three, fought back hard but it was not enough, losing the decision on all three judges cards by scores of 118-109 and 117-110 twice.
On the same card 19 year-old welterweight prospect Logan Yoon,11-0-(10), won the NABO super lightweight title, out-pointing the rugged and more experienced Juan Carlos Salgado, 27-8-1-(16) in a 10 round bout.
Yoon boxed with impressive maturity against the former world champion, eventually winning by scores of 97-92,98-91 and 100-89.
