Gilberto ’Zurdo’ Ramirez, Alex ’El Cholo’ Saucedo, andJose Ramirez will host media workouts this upcoming Tuesday, June 19, and Wednesday, June 20 in preparation for their respective ESPN-televised bouts.
On Tuesday at noon, ’Zurdo’ and Saucedo, who will headline the June 30 world championship event at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, will train at theHill St. Boxing Gym (1201 E Hill St, Signal Hill, CA 90755).
On Wednesday at noon, Jose Ramirez, the newly crowned WBC super lightweight world champion, will work out for the media ahead of his July 7 world title defense at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California. Ramirez’s media day will take place at the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy (18815 Roberts Rd, Riverside, CA, 92508).
The June 30 doubleheader featuring Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez making the fourth defense of his WBO super middleweight title against the hard-hitting Alexis Angulo, and Oklahoma City’s Saucedo against Lenny Zappavigna in a 10-round special attraction, will be televised live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes at 9 p.m. ET.
The July 7 event featuring Jose Ramirez’s first defense of his WBC super lightweight title against former amateur standout and longtime contender Danny O’Connor will be televised live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes beginning at 10:30 p.m. ET.
