Petr “Zar” Petrov, 37-4-2-(17), scored a sixth round tko win over former world title challenger Marvin “Cachorro” Quintero, 28-7-(24), at the outdoor Toshiba Plaza in front of T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Friday night.

Despite being hampered by a closing left eye inflicted in the second round, Quintero fought hard in what was a close fight until the ringside doctor advised the referee to stop the fight after round six. The bout was for the NABF and NABA lightweight titles as well as a WBA eliminator.

In a welterweight bout Alan Sanchez, 18-3-1-(9), scored an upset win over former WBA interim super lightweight champion Pablo Cesar “El Demoledor” Cano, 29-5-1-(21), by a split decision over 10rounds. Two judges scored the bout 97-93 for Sanchez. The third official had Cano the victor by a score of 96-94. Sanchez won the vacant WBC Continental Americas title.
