Lazarte Victorious against Espinoza

IBF light flyweight champ Luis Alberto Lazarte, 48-9-1-(18), retained his title against Nerys Espinoza, 29-6-1-(20),with a 12 round points win in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina on Saturday night.

All three judges scored the bout 116-111 for the Argentine hero.

Lazarte was always the more skilful boxer of the two in a fight that saw its fair share of head clashes and low blows. The fight was tougher for Lazrate than the score line suggested but the champ did rock Espinoza in the 11th and finished the fight stronger of the two.
