Kimura And Niyomtrong Retain World Titles In Qingdao

Sho Kimura successfully retained his WBO flyweight crown in Qingdao, China on Friday by knocking out Filipino challenger Froilan Saludar after 0:54 of the sixth round.

 

The 29 year-old champion form Tokyo, improves to 17-1-2-(10), Saluder falls to 28-3-1-(19)

 

On the same promotion at the Qingdao Guosen Gymnasium Thammanoon Niyomtrong, 18-0-(7), retained his WBA minimumweight title with a clear 12 round points win over Chaozhong Xiong, 27-8-1. The scores were 118-110, 118-110 and 116-112.
