Former world title challenger Cesar “Corazon” Juarez surprised pretty much all at the San Mateo Event Center in San Mateo, California on Saturday night by scoring a an eighth round knockout win the over previously unbeaten Albert Pagara.
Pagara decked Juarez at the end of the opening round with a peach of a left hook, but Juarez showed yrue grit by recovering and eventually breaking Pagara down before smashing him to the canvas with a barrage of punches in round eight. “Pagara tried to gt to his feet but collapsed again and was counted out after 0.15 of round eight.
On the undercard No.1 ranked junior welterweight Jason “El Niño” Pagara scored very impressive third round knockout over journeyman Abraham “The Swift” Alvarez, a right hand decked Alvarez after 0.55 of the third sesion.
