Jones Jr Takes Out Fry In 5



Future boxing Hall of Famer Roy Jones Jr,58-8-(41), as expected, outclassed British journeyman Courtney Fry,18-6-(6), inside five rounds at the at the Kipsala Exhibition Centre in Riga, Latvia on Saturday.

 

Fry was decked with a left hook at the end round five, prompting the stoppage. The bout was for the WBF cruiserweight(German) title.

 

On the undercard light heavyweight Maxim Vlasov, 29-1-(14), scored a fifth round knockout win over Ruben Eduardo Acosta. The fight was stopped when Acosta was decked with a series of punches send after1:43 of the round. Vlasov claimed the vacant WBC Baltic Sea title.

 

At cruiserweight Mairis Briedis ko’d Joey Vegas and junior welterweight Aik Shakhnazarya knocked out Ramon de la Cruz Sena in the fifth round.
