Australian Featherweight prospect Ibrahim Balla (13-1) is scheduled to face the toughest test in his career to date when he headlines a Hosking Promotions event in Melbourne, Australia this coming Sunday March 11.

Balla is scheduled to face Filipino Jessi Cris Rosales (21-1-1). The fight will be Ibby’s first defense of his WBA Oceania title and with a win will put him into consideration for a top 15 world ranking, according to promoter Lynden Hosking.

“Ibby has his work cut out for him”, said Hosking, “though he knows there is plenty on the line with a possible top 15 world rating, and if he wins we will be targeting Aussie featherweight top gun Nathaniel May who is currently ranked six with the IBF on our next installment of ‘Punches at the Park in May”.

In the co featured event Ibby’s brother, Lightweight Qamil Balla (11-1-1), returns to the ring after a 10 month break since losing on points to WBA top 10 ranked George Kambosos. He is scheduled to face Adam Diu Abdulhamid (11-4). Like Qamil, Abdulhamid is coming of a points loss to an undefeated opponent. Both boxers will be desperate to get their careers back on track.

The event is supported with some local talent including a battle between two undefeated light heavyweight prospects in Matt Sheehan (2-0) who takes on the rugged Issac Hardman (1-0). Super Featherweight George Payne makes his pro debut.
