Flores And Kielczweski. Clash In Verona

What happens when a pair of high-octane, 126-pound contenders with a combined record of 45-1 square off in the squared circle? You’re about to find out, as Premier Boxing Champions once again delivers top-notch Friday night fisticuffs.

Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York, hosts tonight’s action, with the first bell set to ring at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Time will tell if Miguel Flores has what it takes to be a dominant force in the 126-pound division, but this much is known: The 24-year-old Mexican-American certainly has the work ethic required to become a champion.

Tonight will represent Flores’ seventh fight in the last 15 months, with the longtime Houston resident logging a total of 42 rounds in the first six contests. Although Flores defeated a slew of quality fighters during this stretch, none have the pedigree of Ryan Kielczweski.

A 27-year-old native of Quincy, Massachusetts, Kielczweski began his career 22-0 before dropping a split decision to Danny Aquino in April 2015. He’s since rebounded with a trio of victories, the most recent being a unanimous decision over Mario Macias Rorozco on April 16.

Flores and Kielczweski share several traits, as both stand 5-foot-8 with near identical reaches, both are slick defensively and both are high-output boxer-punchers. In other words, fight fans who appreciate the finer nuances of the sweet science are in for a real treat.
