Diaz defeats Ao


Mexican veteran Gamaliel Diaz, 37-9-2-(17), out-pointed current champion Takahiro Ao to win the W.B.C. super-featherweight title in Tokyo, Japan on Saturday.

Diaz kept the fight at long range which worked perfectly, bloodying the champion’s with accurate jabs and combinations.

The scores were unanimous for Diaz, 114-112, 114-112 and 115-111.
