Crolla And Barroso Make Weight

WBA lightweight champ Anthony Crolla and Venezuelan challenger both made weight earlier today ahead of their title clash at the Manchester Arena on Saturday night.

Anthony Crolla (30-4-3, 12 KOs), tipped the scale at 134lbs 5oz while

Barroso (19-0-2, KOs) weighed in at 134lbs 3lbs.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the weigh in Crolla said:“I made the weight well.

“I’m enjoying being champion too much to give it up on Saturday night. It’s up to me to go out there and put on a career-best performance and retain my title.

“When you’re a world champion you’re supposed to fight the best and there was no way I was going to swerve Ismael Barroso. He’s one of the most feared lightweights in the world and beating him will prove that I’m up there among the very best.”
