Venezuelan based Nehomar Cermeno retained his WBA super-bantamweight title after knocking out Thai born challenger Anurak Thisa in the third round in Wenzhou, China on Friday.

Cermeno unleashed a series of punches decked Thisa for the full count after 2.19.

Cermeno started fast, racked up the points to take the first round but Thisa recovered and began to get back in the fight in round two but Cermeno again upped the pace towards the end of the round.

The two fighter went head to head in the third round as Cermeno connected with a real peach of a punch to flatten Thisa, who was carried from the ring on a stretchr.
