Ricky Burns, 39-5-1-( 13), Michele Di Rocco, 40-1-1-(18), both made weight ahead of their clash for the vacant WBA junior welterweight title at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland on Saturday.
Burns is attempting to become the first Scottish fighter to win world titles at three different weights. Burns weighed 139ls.12oz, while Di Rocco weighed 139lbs.2oz. The title became vacant when champion Adrien Broner weighed over the championship in his last title defence.
Fellow Scot Willie Limond 139lbs.5oz and Tyrone Nurse 140lbs head the undercard when they clash for Nurse’s British junior welterweight title.
