Former IBF welterweight champ Kell Brook, 37-2-(26),made a successful debut at 154lbs on Saturday night at the Sheffield Arena in Sheffield, England by scoring a second round tko win over Sergey Rabchenko, 29-3-(22).

A right hand decked Rabchanko to end the fight after 1.27 of the second round. The win gave Brook the WBC silver title and keeps him on course for a showdown with British rival and former world champion Amir Khan.

On the same Matchroom promoted card super bantamweight Gavin McDonnell, 19-1-2,-(5), proved far too slick in clearly out-pointing the previously unbeaten Gamal Yafai , 4-1-(7), over 12 rounds to claim the WBC international title. The scores were 116-112 twice and 117-113.

The Commonwealth heavyweight title rematch between Jamaican Lenroy Thomas and Briton David Allen ended in a first round technical draw after Allen was cut over the right eye after a clash of heads.
