Barrios Gets Gabejan Test

Unbeaten super lightweight contender,Mario Barrios (14-0, 8 KO), has an opponent named for his upcoming bout scheduled for this Saturday, April 16 from Barclays Center in Brooklyn,New York.

Barrios will face Edgar Gabejan (27-32-6, 9 KOs), his most experienced foe to date, a veteran with over 500 battle tested rounds. The non-televised 8-round bout will take place on the undercard of a Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on NBC tripleheader headlined by undefeated rising star Errol "The Truth" Spence Jr. taking on former world champion Chris Algieri.

Standing over six feet tall, the towering Barrios will look to carry the momentum from a fabulous 2015, where he went 7-0 with 5 knockouts. Fighting in New York for the first time in his professional career, Barrios wants to send a messages to the 130-pound division with a dominating performance.
